Pacer NCAR #1081
Pacer was picked up in Sacramento and due to being microchipped, stayed in the shelter 10 days before we were asked to rescue him. He’s a gorgeous, silly 65 pound black bi boy who is learning basic commands. I managed to text his owner and found out he turned 4 years old on March 13, 2018.
He's very loving, plays nicely with other dogs and is very agile. Pacer loves being brushed and petted. Another darling boy ready for training and a home of his own. NO CATS.

FINN NCAR #1089
Finn was picked up by Sutter County Animal Control in Yuba City. He was flea infested to the point that he had chewed most of his fur off. He had 2 weeks of antibiotics, 2 baths, and is doing great at the Sanctuary.

Finn is about a year old, and gets uber excited to play with his buddies - sometimes to their aggravation! Once he knows he's being annoying, he'll stop...but he's fairly relentless with his big buddies.
He has a sweet temperament, and needs continued one-on-one training to help him learn boundaries. This boy is ripe for training in a home of his own.
NO CATS. Fostered in Grass Valley.

CODY NCAR # 1096
Cody is a 14 month old black tri who weighs about 58 pounds. His elderly owner asked us to take him, which was clearly difficult for her. He's bouncy, happy and Velcro. He's learning the ropes here at the Sanctuary and playing with the others nicely. Fostered in Grass Valley.

DUKE NCAR # 1094
Duke turns 3 years old in July, 2018. He's blind.
He lived in a pen outside and was not neutered.
Understandably, Duke gets uber excited when meeting people! He knows sit, is housebroken and is good with other dogs and all people.
This 40 pound, black tri boy is very sweet and is recovering nicely from double lens replacement surgery on May 29.
He's a trooper and sits nicely for all his eye drops, is learning to walk nicely on a leash (no running for 3 weeks) and is a darling boy.
If you can help us pay his $5,500 surgery costs, please click on the paypal link on our home page. Thank you in advance for your kind gifts.

We're taking applications for Duke now.

Manuel NCAR #1095
Manuel is a lovely 10 year old, 53 pound Aussie whose owners died. We took him in and found him to love playing with the hose water, can go on walks, loves children and is an easy-keeper. He has some separation anxiety at first when I leave him, but will eventually calm down. He's almost deaf, and was terribly matted. We've groomed him three times now, and he's feelin and looking much better. He also is now on Rimadyl for some arthritis so he’s moving with more ease. He’s OK with cats, too! Fostered in Grass Valley.
