Lily NCAR #342
Lily is 9- 10 years old. She was adopted from us in 2004. She lived with a young family with a baby and a toddler. She's very gentle with babies and sweet with all people. Her one issue that doesn't seem to improve is that she likes to run and not come back when called. She'll eventually come back, but not until she's had her fun...this can take hours.
Her family gave her back to us in 2007.
She's happy running around the Sanctuary, although she will bolt out of the gate and has figured how to dig under the fence to get out and hunt rabbits. It's her guilty pleasure. This girl is sweet, sweet, sweet and is a delightful, obedient girl unless she goes on one of her escapades...but she always comes back!
She'd be a great 2nd story apartment dog (so she won't bolt out the front door) where she gets a chance to frequent a fenced dog park for running exercise, or go jogging on-leash with someone. Another potential scenario for her would be a big ranch without fencing WAY off the beaten path.
When she's done hunting and investigating, she parks it in the Sanctuary driveway just outside the gate. She hangs around and is an awesome ranch dog. She can't live in suburbia or and urban environment where she could bolt out the door and get into the street. Fostered in Grass Valley.
No cats.
